Hello tourists. Your next adventure awaits you on the war-torn streets of New Orleans, filled with new walks and threats, challenging battles and other plot twists. Then the formidable lumberjack was obsessed with a thirst for revenge.
To help on your journey, our team at Skydance Interactive has prepared The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution survival guide. The game will be released tomorrow, March 21st, on PlayStation VR2.
travel packages
In The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, you need to be prepared for anything. Endless hordes of walkers, doppelgangers plotting your every downfall, and the evil and seemingly unstoppable Axeman, just to name a few. Every time you leave the base camp, you will face serious problems, so you need the right resources.
First, increase your inventory size as quickly as possible. To do this, you need to upgrade your base camp equipment station to level 6, and from there you can get the "Deep Pockets" upgrade. This adds nine stock slots to your backpack and one whopping slot for carrying two-handed weapons (like the requisite chainsaw). Increasing the size of your inventory will help you craft healing items, weapons and other needed upgrades in the long run.
In addition, upgrading your armor will help protect you from infantry and enemies that you may encounter during your missions. Explore new catacombs near base camp and you will find new armor crafting recipes.
Weapons are given (more on that later), but the right food will restore your health and stamina when you need it most. We recommend you to cook food using the recipes provided in the game; While eating a packet of peanuts can help you out in a pinch, there's a good chance you'll get sick and you'll need to stock up on medicine to get rid of the consequences of eating poor-quality food. Some of the best recipes that you will want to try are the whipped cream, okra, and jambalaya.
Finally, collect enough bandages and medicine while you're in town to treat yourself when you get to a bad place. The new crafting table contains upgrades to Base Camp that can make healing, low energy, and disease healing a thing of the past.
Know your weapon
You'll find a variety of weapons to help you fight off walkers, tower members, and other dangers lurking around every corner. No matter how powerful the weapon is, it is useless if you do not know how to use it to your advantage. The most important thing is to take your time with the new weapon and figure out the best way to reload it. Make sure you try it out on some rare walkers before relying on it as a herd.
Some powerful weapons are seriously out of balance, so you need to understand the unique characteristics of each weapon. They are great at herding cattle, but can be terrible to humans, or excellent at range, but are a nightmare in close quarters.
Noise and lighting are also factors when trying to sneak in, so keep that in mind when preparing. Finally, not all guns are the epitome of endurance in the harsh climate of post-apocalyptic New Orleans, so I always recommend carrying an extra gun or two with you.
There's even more immersion you'll experience when you upgrade from PS VR to PS VR2. The new Sense controller charges and recovers itself and makes saws incredibly precise and tactile, so make sure you're ready for feedback and finger tracking.
Discover the world
It's important to use everything you can collect in the world, so it's a good idea to explore your surroundings as often as possible.
The main way to get more loot is by completing tasks for the Exiled Trade Network. Sonny's Pawn Shop is a great starting point for new quests, opening up new opportunities to collect and craft essential survival kits.
For travelers who fear adversity, clearing the endemic areas on foot will help them to have better supplies. Of course, we know you want to avoid walkers as much as possible, but Chapter 2: Revenge is high risk, high reward. One area in this world is the ancient city. Clearing this area (and others like it) will unlock the Trade in Exile mission and the Night mode mission for the area with better loot.
Make friends at night
Night exploration is a new way to experience the world of The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners and can be good for your survival because some resources are more visible at night. Night mode introduces new rules of gathering and exploration, not to mention new encounters with more walkers. The difficulty is great, but we promise, it will be worth it.
This is where your tactical flashlight comes in handy, and switching to UV will reveal hidden information that will guide you through the darkness, as well as allow you to find items that can only be found at night (such as essential materials for one of the new devices Work benches at the military base). You can use missiles to distract the pedestrians and escape.
If you master the night mode, you will receive a backpack with loot and materials for your workshop.
