Greetings to everyone! I'm Phil Krifa, game director at Tchia and co-founder of Awaceb. We are very excited that Tchia will be released tomorrow and will be the culmination of an incredible 5 year adventure by a small team of great game developers.

As we get closer to release, we wanted to take a final look at how we're expanding the open-world sandbox formula. If you are new to Tchia, the guide below will help you before you start playing on PS4 and PS5.

To prepare you for the adventure ahead, we wanted to give you some tips to get you started. Here are some of the top five items and features you will use while playing.

Chian's trusty sling was given to him by his father, Joxue. From the early days of Tchia development, we've always strived to create a game that feels like a toy box. It is against this background that we created Soul-Jump. Soul Leap is one of Chia's innate abilities, and you'll use it to control almost any object or creature you find on the islands.

Here are some new creatures you've never seen before that you can use to your advantage.

seagulls

Birds generally provide the strongest transition advantage in the game. Therefore, they will never resist eating your soul! Use their easy-to-reach controls to fly over rocks and reach your destination in no time And if you're loud, you can confuse unsuspecting renters with the "R2". Cows give you the same ability, but be careful because their dung is a bit more unstable than using Soul Lip and they tend to explode...

dolphin

Of all the sea creatures you can have in Theo, dolphins are probably your fastest choice... you can run across the ocean and even do cool somersaults and other moves while jumping out of the water. Daggers are slow and don't take up as much space as other beasts, but they sure will bite! Use his powerful pliers to pick the lock on the chest for easy access!

Toys and beads

Ornaments and beads are collectibles found in the archipelago and play an important role in the Caledonian ceremony to express gratitude and respect for someone. When you need to donate or buy additional makeup, jewelry and beads are almost always involved.

You'll find many of these throughout your journey, and you can find them by activating exclamation points that reveal more activities and collectibles around you.

Once you've collected enough of these, head to the nearest town or marina and see what clothing or boat customization items you can unlock by spending on them.

As you travel around the islands, you will meet many local people who will help you on your journey. It's about Louise, a young girl from the village of Velivale, who gives you a camera and tells you to take lots of pictures.

Tchia tries to find joy in the little things, and the camera system is no exception. It was created to simulate the very useful shooting process. Choose your lens, film, and even set up a self-timer tripod for a cool pose. When filming, you need to find room to develop your shots and you'll be surprised how efficient you are.

This was the last look at Chia before tomorrow's release, and we are extremely grateful to everyone who has supported us throughout the game's development. Accessibility is at the heart of The Teacher, and this philosophy permeates the entire game in several ways.

All activities and challenges are designed so that completion is always optional and no skill is required to progress through the story. If you get stuck, you always have the option to skip a part of the game to find out what happens next. If you really want to, you can start your journey at any point in the story using the chapter selection menu available at the beginning of your adventure.

Tchia is a bright and colorful game inspired by New Caledonian culture. It is a poetic coming-of-age story, but also contains scenes that are not suitable for children. So, if you want to play with your little ones, we recommend turning on "Family Mode" which will automatically make the game's most violent or natural scenes suitable for the whole family.
