As a longtime fan of the Star Wars franchise, I've always looked for new ways to delve into this galaxy far, far away. With the release of PlayStation VR2, we knew that by launching our title on this new headset, we had the opportunity to take advantage of the new features on offer to engage fans in our story in even more engaging ways. With the updated version exclusive to PS VR2, I wanted to share some of the key features that really make it shine. Let's dive in!
High fidelity imagery really puts you in Star Wars
If you've played our game before, you'll notice that the graphics have been completely overhauled as soon as you enter PS VR2. Environments and characters have been rebuilt, including new landscapes and dynamic lights that move around the world with each blaster shot. Using eye-tracking techniques and preferred rendering, every detail your eye focuses on will stand out. Take our friend Seezelslak, voiced by the incredibly talented Bobby Moynihan, for example. As you step into his basement and perhaps hear one of his many legendary stories, you'll notice how your eyes focus on him rather than what's going on with your peripherals.
The enhanced resolution of the headset and the power behind it have allowed us to create these sharper images and new details, big and small, that bring the Star Wars galaxy to life in truly stunning ways.
Haptic and adaptive triggers let you feel everything
One of the special features of this edition is the way it all sounds. During the game you will have to solve various puzzles using your All-Kit tool, a handy gadget with multiple functions essential to your role as a droid repairman. With the touch sensor built into the PS VR2 Sense controller, the internal mechanics of this tool will vibrate in your hand as you use it, with each function providing a different feel depending on how you use it.
We've also added adaptive triggers built into the PS VR2 Sense controller, so every time you fire your weapon you get enough drag to feel like it's actually in your hand. With headset feedback, you can literally feel the blaster bolts move past your head in a way that feels organic, like you might feel in real life. With the use of these advanced features built into the headset and controller, it's hard to describe how epic a grand battle is!
Escape to 3D audio
If you played the original game, you will definitely like the updated version. The Skywalker Sound team made a huge difference in audio, taking sound design to a whole new level. You'll be surrounded by dynamic 3D audio that captures every shot, explosion, and character interaction in incredible detail as only Star Wars can. There's a lot to be said for wielding a lightsaber while playing one of Seezelslak's fairy tales.

With the Enhanced Edition, you get the whole story from start to finish because we didn't want you to have to wait for additional downloads like our original version. This means you can jump in and explore the world we've created as you play through the story, uncovering all the secrets and hidden treasures along the way. And with the full story combined with three short stories from Seezelslak, you'll understand the Star Wars galaxy better than ever.
Speaking of Seezelslak stories, if you've ever wondered what the life of a Star Wars droid would be like, you're sure to enjoy The Bounty of Boggs Triff. It's a unique experience that lets you re-enact the story of IG-88, a fourth-class assassin droid you might recognize from the movie Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
