At the beginning of the new millennium, Sega developed a game called Cosmic Smash. It made arcade selections in Japan and Europe before releasing on consoles only in Japan.

The game seemed to come out of nowhere, but it quickly established itself over the centuries as an icon of design and style, one of those rare games that looks, sounds, and feels like nothing you've ever played before.
While the game may feel like it's from an alternate universe, it perfectly sums up the most important part of what makes games great: they're great. If I wanted to enter a virtual world, this would be it: a place where I can relax on the go, in a friendly, compact and comfortable space, free from stress, noise and crazy routines. .

During the recording of Our Planet I worked with a dream team of people whose work I admire. From VR pioneers Wolf & Wood, I created the PS5 and PSVR2 games The Last Worker with lead designers Corey Schmitz (Rez Infinite, Sound Shapes) and Arkotype (Polytron), musicians Ken Ishii (Rez Infinite) and Danalog (The Comet is Coming, Soccer 96), art director Rob Davies (The Motherless Oven) and the sound engineer. Together we set out to reinvent the beloved classics of virtual reality and online gaming. It's amazing that Sega trusted us.
