It's hard to believe that a year has passed since the release of Horizon Forbidden West. On February 18, 2022, the guerrillas waited anxiously at their workstations as the game began rolling out to our global community.
It's hard to describe the feeling on launch day, though any developer in our industry will instinctively understand the mix of excitement, nervousness, and anticipation when we start to see their reaction. We spend most of the day updating social media and going through stats, reading raw feedback and of course sharing the moment with the team and enjoying the incredible success and results of more than four years of work now available worldwide. .
Building on this excitement, Horizon Forbidden West will also join the PlayStation Plus catalog of games starting February 21, 2023.
Last year saw more than just the release of Horizon Forbidden West. We released LEGO Tallneck into the wild, created a dedicated TikTok channel, and released many new products including a vinyl soundtrack and a set featuring ASOS. We finally got to meet some of our fans in person again at TwitchCon and Gamescom!
It's been great to see how Aloy and her story have impacted you, and we're so grateful for the love and joy our community shares with our franchise. One of my personal joys is scrolling through the #BeyondTheHorizon hashtag and seeing amazing portrait mode shots from the virtual photographer community; Did you know that you've spent a total of 211,000 hours in portrait mode?

Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Aloy and her ongoing story at Horizon Forbidden West. Now we're looking forward to the Burning Shores expansion coming to PS5 on April 19 as Aloy searches the deadly volcanic ruins of Los Angeles for a terrifying threat.
