It's a new year and we're fast approaching the release of Returnal for PC. We're excited to announce that PC players will be able to join Selene on Atropos on February 15, 2023!
So far, not many details have been released about specific features that will enhance the experience and immersion on PC, so let's look at the good stuff.
NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR are added, allowing you to increase frame rates without sacrificing resolution. NVIDIA NIS has also been added for gamers who also want to see a performance boost but don't have DLSS or FSR-capable hardware. *
Returnal also supports shadows like before, but now our friends at Climax Studios have added support for RT reflections as well. The contrast of the dark scenes and the neon balls will stand out more than ever. * All of this can now be viewed in two new high-resolution formats, Ultrawide at 21:9 and Super Ultrawide at 32:9 ** Consider all the screen real estate you can use when you're not in the middle of some titanic hardcore.
