Resident Evil Village VR Mode launches February 22 for PS VR2 as free DLC

Hello PlayStation fans, nice to talk to you again! I'm Kanda, the Capcom producer who created Resident Evil Village. The Resident Evil Village VR mod was already announced in June 2022. Today, I'm happy to announce that this add-on mod will be released on February 22, 2023 as a free DLC for Resident Evil Village. You can download and play it as soon as you purchase a PlayStation VR2.

The entire main story of the village will be available on PlayStation VR2 in Resident Evil Village VR mode, allowing you to relive all the events that Ethan Winters faces at the highest level of immersion as he decides to rescue his kidnapped daughter. .

Fully using the PlayStation VR2, you will fully immerse yourself in the game Resident Evil Village with this DLC. The visually vibrant 4K HDR (2000x2040 per eye) display graphics and eye tracking create a stronger sense of reality, as if everything you see actually exists. 3D audio enhances the realism of sound from all angles, and your sense of touch is enhanced with PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers. With a controller in each hand, you can feel vibration, recoil and resistance when interacting with objects in the world and firing weapons.

Sensitive controllers also allow for intuitive gestures, such as protecting your hand and holding a gun in front of you to fire, and you can take additional steps to improve your immersion. Hold two pistols independently of each other, insert a clip into the pistol to reload it, and break or slash the knife. It's a truly immersive experience that will take you right into the twisted world that Ethan Winters finds himself in.

Please note that this free DLC requires Resident Evil Village or Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, which must be downloaded separately. We hope that everyone who buys a PlayStation VR2 in February 2023 will try their hand at this survival horror game.
