Ever since the release of Photo Mode in God of War (2018), we've been amazed at the talent and enthusiasm of the in-game photography community that has come together to play.
From quiet moments with Kratos and Atreus to stylish and brutal action shots of flying ice and fire, the range of God of War photographers has been a constant source of inspiration for our team.
With this latest update for God of War Ragnarok, we're excited to bring Photo Mode to everyone in this game as well!

photography tips
- Adjust the filter intensity , brightness and saturation to the desired filter for a wider range of colors.
- Don't forget to add the vignette at the right time to give more depth to the shot.
- Don't be afraid to move the camera a little , especially when shooting fights. You can make your screenshots more dynamic and less like the camera is always shooting from a fixed horizontal position.
- If you like taking vertical photos, you can rotate your camera 90 degrees to get that much-needed distance .
- Remember, lighting is everything ! Your screenshot will be really bright when your subject is properly lit. Know where your light source is when you switch to photo mode so that your subject is clearly visible.
- Take your time to find the picture you like. Often, you may switch to photo mode and think about taking a particular photo only to find something better in that moment. Explore with your camera and move around the scene and see what awaits you.
