Each year, the Imp Awards celebrate you , the Dream community, and all the outstanding work you do in and out of the Dreamverse. Hosting an event that celebrates the year of the biggest dreams is the highlight of our year, and that's exactly what we plan to do at the 4th Annual Imp Awards early next year.
Today we are pleased to announce that the nominations for the fourth edition of the Impi Awards have opened. This year you can enter yourself or your dream friend in one of 23 categories. They are then selected and presented to a panel of judges (and usually some will be open to the public to vote!). You can start applying here.
Regarding our categories, we are happy to receive feedback after each Imp Award and adapt it to better represent all dream areas. This year, looks like we made it to the final list! So without further ado, here are the categories of the 4th Annual Imp Awards:
- Inventor/Team of the Year: This award honors the creator or team of creators who shone brightly in the dream world last year, catching dreamers' attention and leaving them wanting more.
- Invention of the Year : This year celebrates the best inventions released to the Dreamiverse this year. This extraordinary creation excels in many areas and creates an extraordinary experience that is recognized as one of the best in the Dreamiverse universe.
- Excellence in Art Direction : This Impy recognizes creativity that demonstrates a consistent and professional level of quality in visual and artistic design.
- Superior Neighborhood Art : This Impy embodies the powerful environmental art dream, featuring incredible resource design, world building, and incredible use of lighting and styling.
- Narrative Excellence : This dream recognizes the creation of compelling stories that demonstrate excellent storytelling and narrative development.
- Sculpting Excellence: This pixie recognizes sculpting in the dream universe, a fantastic example of what dream sculpting tools can do.
- Animation Excellence : This Impy recognizes the best motion map creations in well-crafted dream, toy, short film or game animations.
- EXCELLENCE IN GAMEPLAY: This impy knows how to innovate with well-crafted and expert game mechanics and ideas to deliver a completely unique gaming experience.
- More Original Gameplay: This impy acknowledges innovation featuring completely original and unique gameplay mechanics.
- Excellence in Character Design : This Impy embodies a well-crafted dream character with a high degree of personality and originality.
- Excellence in Audio Design: The Impy knows creativity through creative and well-executed audio design.
- Audio Excellence : This Impy recognizes creators who have taken their speed to the next level. This may include, but is not limited to, characterizing or narrating a scene.
- Excellence in Virtual Reality: This Imp embodies the creation of the VR dream, perfectly replicating the VR experience and is a shining example of what is possible with virtual reality dream creation and tools.
- Music of the Year: Recognize the incredible music composed and produced by Impy Dreams.
- Musician of the Year: Impy This honors the creators of Sound of Dreams who have demonstrated a keen understanding of Dream Sound equipment while producing high-quality music. This can be individual music or game accounts, among other things.
- Community Star : This Imp recognizes community members who excel and excel in the community at large. This award can be given to streamers, producers, podcasters, fan site creators, publishers - someone who exemplifies the dream champion.
- The Most Helpful Dreamer: This Imp recognizes the human contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the dream world. Whether through streaming, collaboration, in-game tutorials, community chat or more, help other dreamers realize their full potential.
- Community Collaboration : Impy recognizes a community event that invites other dreamers to collaborate together to create something amazing.
- Traveling Dreamers: This Imp recognizes Dreamers who have joined the Dreamiverse in 2022 and impact society and dreams through creativity, community contributions, or both!
- Beyond Dreams Contribution : This Impy recognizes community members who share and celebrate the Dreamiverse Beyond Dreams. This may include, but is not limited to, blogging, video production, streaming and podcasting.
- Curated Star: This impy recognizes community members with the best collections and contributions to bring out the creativity in the Dreamiverse.
- Innovation in Creativity: This Imp recognizes a maker or inventor who pushes the boundaries of what's possible with a dream tool, whether that's finding a unique use for a tool or developing an original idea that pushes the boundaries of creativity.
- Development Experience : This Impy acknowledges the creation of the Dreamiverse, which has changed significantly over the last year, even though it started before Dream Beta.
