God of War Ragnarok has approached! Tomorrow, November 9, you can finally return to the Nine Realms with Kratos and Atreus as they prepare for the next war.
To make sure you get started now, we've compiled a list of the top ten tips to help you develop your hero! God of War Ragnarok has tons of features and updates for many of the characters returning from God of War (2018), so be sure to check them out below!
All equipment is legendary
In God of War Ragnarok, we've given up on our old rarity when it comes to gear.
Previously in God of War (2018), most armor and weapon attachments could have been upgraded multiple times, so it inevitably got delayed as power levels increased.
In this game, any power level device can be upgraded to level 9! This opens up a world of possibilities and combinations, allowing for a wider range of play styles at all energy levels.
Transmission unlocked at gear level 9
Speaking of power level limits, there's a surprise in store for people who work hard enough to upgrade their equipment to level 9!
The Transformation tool ability has been one of the most requested features, and we're excited to announce that we'll be getting it in God of War Ragnarok!
Once your equipment reaches level 9, you will be able to apply any skin currently in your inventory. Don't be afraid to try different items just because you like something. Find the fringe of your dreams and match it to the look you want when you reach level 9!
This feature extends to nukes and kratos weapons.
Don't be afraid to bend over
The Player Acquisition team at Santa Monica Studios is in charge of player promotion and exploration content, so we've made sure to put the best gear into our reward areas to reward those who take the extra time to explore!
Don't be afraid to say yes when you hear a call to explore or feel things are getting complicated. Completing missions and exploring the nine worlds is a surefire way to keep up with the times.
If you're the type of player who wants to play through the main story before jumping back into additional missions and exploration, don't worry! The missions never expire and the quest content will always be waiting for you.

If you don't like the minimum / maximum specifications, we will make it easy for you with the automatic selection feature.
Click L3 in the Weapon or Armor tabs and select the option you want to prioritize. Auto Equip will automatically equip items with the highest level of energy and take advantage of the set stats if you have multiple items of the same level.
Ancient resources can be purchased in the shop.
Note to all savers: Antiques can eventually be purchased in the shop.

Most of your gear will eventually start looking for an alternative way to upgrade to level 9. Once you start finding these new resources, the old ones will appear under the Resources section of the Resources section of the Specials tab of any Store.
There is no need to stock up on this precious craft if your primary weapon is at full capacity. Use this as an opportunity to improve on something else and try something new. you may!
Pay special attention to the skill work in your skill tree.
When you unlock a new skill, be sure to use it!
If you look closely at the information card, for many skills you will see a counter that tracks the use of that skill.
Keep leveling up to gold and you'll unlock a Skill Mod that allows you to apply some tweaks to your favourites. Add enough skill mods to become a force to be reckoned with!

XP: It's not just about skills
Those who have played God of War (2018) will remember that you can spend XP to trigger various rune attacks.
This feature returns in God of War Ragnarok but is also expanding with Spartan Rage and Relics.

Be sure to switch to the Weapons tab and explore individual Runic attacks, Spartan Rage modes, and Relics to upgrade your favourites. Each has two additional levels to unlock!
Niflheim is a must
Hey, Odin's Crows are back!
We've made great strides in God of War Ragnarok to make everyone's father's spies worth the hunt, so be sure to visit the Crow Tree in Niflheim as soon as possible.
In God of War (2018), you can see the familiar feathers of the fifty-one crows that tried to escape from Kratos on the branches to mark the place. Under the Raven Tree, you can get rewards for finding new ravens in God of War Ragnarok through a series of chests. When certain limits are reached, the chest will open - don't forget to check your winnings regularly!
Who knows, maybe something will happen if you find all forty-eight in God of War Ragnarok!
Also, don't forget to visit the training ground in the same location if you need to improve your sets!
Yggdrasil Amulet: Magic and Harmony Bonuses
You won't be putting magic on individual equipment anymore. Instead, you need to find the Yggdrasil amulet to cast spells in God of War Ragnarok.
To increase the number of available slots, you will need to find Yggdrasil Gems. You'll get some by playing the main story, and you'll find the rest by exploring different areas of the world.
Many spells have their own rich harmony. You'll know what they are because their names indicate the domain they correspond to, for example, the spell of Midgard Endurance has a realm, you guessed it, Midgard. Placing three or more of the same combination of kingdoms will unlock advantages that increase with your stats.
All the spells in the world boost stats, even if you don't equip the full set.
Kingdom spells aren't necessarily set in the domain they're in, so be careful!
Armor Set Bonus
Most wrist shields and straps have features that increase strength if you equip both pieces from the corresponding set. Prepare the wrist and waist in one group for a stronger edge, or combine pieces from different groups for even more versatility.
